Children Studying Together

Overview

Home-Start Shepway in Folkestone and Hythe District has been awarded a grant of £44,997 over three years starting 4th July by BBC Children in Need. This grant will enable us to develop our Three and Thriving Project to support young children's emotional and social development, helping them build confidence, regulate emotions, and form strong relationships for school readiness.

We will provide essential resources, expert guidance, and targeted support to help children develop emotional regulation, confidence, and essential life skills. By working alongside families, and the community, we aim to strengthen emotional resilience, build positive relationships, and equip young learners with the tools they need to thrive in their school years and beyond.

Impact

We will deliver tailored interventions, hands-on activities, and accessible parenting resources designed to uplift families and strengthen the foundations of early childhood development. By addressing emotional regulation and relationships, this initiative will help children flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

Partner Quote

We are deeply grateful to BBC Children in Need for recognising the power of emotional and social development and the crucial role that parents play in shaping a child's future. This grant enables us to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families, ensuring they feel supported, confident, and prepared for school and beyond.
