Project Empowerment
Helping female victims with a child under 8, who have been affected by domestic abuse, either current or historic.

About Project Empowerment
Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the Garfield Weston Foundation, Project Empowerment is a three-year project providing support for Mums with children under 8 years old who have experienced domestic abuse.
Post Covid, we have seen how the cost of living crisis has further impacted domestic abuse. We offer one-to-one support to risk assess and safety plan current situations, with ongoing practical and emotional support from an IDVA, Housing Support Worker and DA Mentors.
Our aim is to enable women to increase their self-esteem and self-confidence, improve life skills and future prospects. As well as one-to-one support we provide wellbeing sessions, the Phoenix Programme and facilitate the Folkestone One Stop Shop.
