Overview

Home-Start Shepway is celebrating after being awarded £226,365 by The National Lottery Community Fund – the largest community funder in the UK – to support its work. Project Empowerment commenced in May 2024, a three-year project focusing on supporting survivors of domestic abuse to improve their quality of life and increase their life skills, self-esteem, and confidence.

Impact

This significant support has empowered us to continue our crucial work in the Folkestone and Hythe area, supporting women affected by domestic abuse and fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

Thank you to the Weston Foundation for their £30,000 funding to support this project with our Housing Support and the Wellbeing Link Workers. We value the recognition of their support.
