Overview
Folkestone streets will become even safer thanks to a £335,546.64 government grant awarded through the Home Office’s Safer Streets Fund (Round Five).
The successful bid was submitted by Folkestone & Hythe Community Safety Partnership (CSP), Kent Police and the Kent Police & Crime Commissioner. The funding supports transformative crime prevention initiatives designed to reduce neighbourhood crime, anti-social behaviour, and violence against women and girls (VAWG).

CCTV improvements in the town centre
Tackling anti-social behaviour and crime prevention
Education programmes for schools and community groups
Safer parks initiatives
Public guardianship schemes
This includes enhanced radio networks, increased patrols, and
expanded education work, building on the CSP’s existing initiatives.
